I live in Assam a very beautiful state of Northeast India. Guwahati is its Capital city and entry point for entire Northeast. Be it Railways be it Surface Transways or be it Airways Guwahati is well developed and well connected city with rest of India.

Very rich in terms of Natural beauty as welll as natural resources. Tea,Coal and oil is found in bounteous. World's first crude oil refinery was established in Digboi in Tinsukia Dist of Assam  as early as in the year 1901 and the oldest Oil well is still in operation. Digboi is having a golf course for Golf lovers and a major tournament held here annually.

One can visit Tea estate in  Assam. Assam produces major chunk of Black Tea in India. Maniram Diwan was the 1st Assamese person to cultivate Tea in Cinamara Jorhat which is still  producing tea.Assam tea is famous for its strong liquor where as Darjeeling tea is for its strong aroma.

Tough Assam is considered as  Tea Capital of India but apart from Tea & Oil another attraction is its natural  beauty. Till now this place is less visited by tourist but i bet who ever have come to Assam once will keep on cherishing its beautiful valley,mountains,rivers,wild life and orchids.


Brahmaputra river have all the attractions from water sports to aquatic life to worlds biggest fresh water  river island. Kaziranaga National Park, Manas National Park ,Gibbon forest reserve,Orang National Park are those Sanctuary which will spell bound you once you come to visit  its lap. Nature have given a lot of flowers and orchids to its lovely land known as Assam. Blue Mountains and hills are another gift of nature to the state.Blue Hills will always attract you for its magical beauty.Visitng Temple and worship places which  are spread all over the state. Visit Hajo,Kamakhya, Shivdol Ajan Fakir Dargah, Bordowa,Nagaon Srimanta Sankardev's  Birth place,are the worshiping places where one can earn the peace of mind.

Visiting the historic monuments in the state of Assam is also an art to be seen & explored. "Talatal Ghar", Kareng Ghar,Sujya Pahar ,Bir Lachit Moidam,  Some moidam in Sonari etc. These moidam are having some kind of similarities with the pyramids of Egypt. Historic "Dhekiakhowa Bor Namghar" established by Madhab Dev a true disciple of Srimanta SankarDev.One can witness the earthen lamp glowing for over 500 years.(Recognised by Guinness book of World record). Athkehlia Namghar at Golaghat and many more.
Lady "mahout"Pratima pandey belonged  to this land of Gauripur in Assam. she had distinction of catching wild elephant.

Assam  celebrates BIHU festival as State festival. Bihu is basically celebration of different rituals at different times. There are three  different kinds of Bihu and 1st being Rongali Bihu 2nd being Kaatii Bihu and  3rd being Magh Bihu. All these bihus are having different customs related with farming calendar.

The world famous one horn Rhino species is found in Kaziranga. Kaziranga is habitat of highest no. of one horn rhino. The bird sanctuary is Dibru-saikhowa and migratory birds in the state is in plenty specially in the Pani Dihing bird sanctuary etc.
Though its weather is like tropical  but it is very pleasant at those time when rest of India is reeling under heavy cold or heavy heat.
Morning hours climate is very energetic and full of life.And of course Sun rise and sunset are another attraction .
