Arunachal visit
Arunachal Pradesh
The Northeast frontier Arunachal Pradesh is the land of the Rising Sun in India. Here nature has spared its beauty everywhere. The hills & mountains, the lakes, and the rivers, landscapes to natural beauty. The flora & fauna is still unexplored.
On the occasion of the new year happen to visit this beautiful state, along with family & friends. Our journey started from Sibsagar to Malinithan through the Bogibeel bridge. Bogibeel bridge is the longest Rail cum Road bridge in India and shortens the travel time to Dibrugarh & Dhemaji. After visiting Malinithan an archeological and sacred site of Hindu mythology on the Assam Arunachal Pradesh border we explored the Arunachal Pradesh site and we visited the Lower Siang dist. of Arunachal Pradesh. To visit any place in Arunachal Pradesh one has to obtain an Inner line permit (ILP). We had obtained our ILP beforehand so there were no issues related to entry into the state.
We went to the lower bed of the Siang river. Siang river which passes through Arunachal is a very sacred river and flows through hills and plains to reach into the confluence of Lohit & Siang and converse as Brahmaputra river of Assam. To reach the river bed we had to downscale more than 1000 steps which is very mesmerizing and mysterious yet tiring. On the midway, there is a Shiva temple and ruins spell its beautiful history. The climate here is very wet and cold. An annual fair is held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti a Hindu festival held on every 14th day of January. Though gathering is very less compared to Parshuram Kund another pilgrimage site of Hindus.
A pre-ordered meal was awaiting us on returning at a nearby restaurant. The hot meal was very tasty and we all were very hungry so everyone enjoyed the lip-smacking food.
Nature have shower its beauty in abundance to this bordering state of India. The flora & fauna is second to non and the scenic beauty is incomparable.
The trip to lower Siang dist. of Arunachl Pradesh have once again proved that Arunachal is mysterious.
A trip of around seven days will be sufficient to visit Parshuram Kund, Mayodiya,Anini and Pasighat starting from Dibrugarh.
